Autumn Jubilee Wrap Up

It has been a very busy month, with all the projects and giveaways! I hope you had fun! Today we wrap up the event, and I hope you will leave a comment on this post to thank all our sponsors for their wonderful prizes. Today is also the last day for two special deals so be sure to read all the way to the end. But first, a little more fall beauty from our place. Our driveway has burst into autumn glory.

The forest edge is just past peak, with the full variety of color from brilliant gold to deep red. The overcast day muted the colors somewhat.

Using the zoom lens on my camera, the valley across to the far ridge is ablaze with color. Fog hangs in the far part of the valley, with rain on the way. It is a perfect day to watch old 1940s horror movies and get some sewing done! Today I will watch one of the scariest movies I’ve ever seen, a psychological thriller called The Skeleton Key. (Second place goes to The Ring, third place Oculus.) I like these much more than blood and gore movies, the mind games kind of movie is much more insidious and frightful to me.

I hope you enjoyed the variety of projects this month, with sewing and quilting, stamping and cooking, plus more fun ideas for bringing Autumn into your home. If you missed any project, just scroll back through the posts to find pdf downloads for the quilting and wool applique projects, and tutorials for the others. This was our quilt along, made in table topper size, but you can easily scale up to a larger size.

We made a scrappy wall hanging, playing with some embroidery.

We stamped some fall cards, and made a few other stamped items.

We set an Autumn table that transitions to Halloween and Thanksgiving with ease.

We made a wool applique pillow, and set it in a chair with my Pumpkin Star quilt.

Then we took our scraps of leftover wool and made some embroidered bowl fillers, or pincushions.

Three international winners were drawn for vendors only willing to ship in the US. Those winners receive two of my patterns of their choice. Congratulations to Jayne in the UK, Eileen in Spain, and Bonnie in Canada!

If you like my patterns, you can buy ones I’ve published on My Patterns page, including my new Twinkle Twinkle Pumpkin Star, and my classic Pumpkin Star along with all my Scrap Dance series, and more. Since I have left Etsy, I am selling my patterns direct to you using Paypal and email now. I hope to have a better method with a website store set up soon. For now, just email me at frommycarolinahome at gmail dot com and let me know the pattern you wish to buy and if you’d like to pay with paypal or check. I’ll send you an invoice or a form to fill out and mail. Patterns will come to you via email.

Thank you for using my links when you can as they help me pay for the costs of maintaining the blog, supplies for projects, and shipping of prizes so I can bring you more free projects and ideas for fun. Two drawings are left to do tomorrow, and I’ll update this post with those winners. I hope you’ll use these links to start your holiday shopping. Some of the links given below are affiliate links.

Thank you, Carole, for having this awesome Autumn Jubilee. I learned so much from you during this time. I am slow starting and finishing items due to my being a vendor at the Christmas in the Woods craft show two weekends this month in Columbiana OH. My hubby and ai make stone and wood fireplace lamps. Hearthwood Lamps we call ourselves. I will eventually get things done in the jubilee. Thank you to all the very generous sponsors. Congratulations to all those winners this year! Looking forward to your holiday ideas, Carole, and of course to next years autumn jubilee!!!

Carole, you hosted a wonderful jubilee. I didn’t always comment, but did visit frequently. I love the table topper quilt along and, of course, your tablescapes. Congratulations on a job well done, and to all your winners.

  11. Patty Brenner

Thank you for your hard work putting the projects together and getting the sponsors on board! I mostly watched the projects, since I’m still in process on a couple of my own, but I’ve pinned a couple things for future. A big thank you to the sponsors too and congratulations to the winner!!

  12. When we lived in Illinois, I collected the beautiful leaves and pressed them between all the Christmas catalogs that we got. At Thanksgiving we moved furniture and set up 5 tables. I used the colorful pressed leaves on the tables along with a different center piece on each table. Our guests included family, friends and International students from the University of Illinois. Now we live in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and I miss the beautiful colors of fall. We have also downsized, but we still plan to have 3 tables.

  13. Thank you again for the time and work you put into making a fun month for us. I really enjoyed doing the quiltalong and look forward to cozy evenings of handquilting it. I might make a larger version down the road – too many UFOs are in the way right now. The prizes were great, too, and I got to explore products that were new to me.

  14. Joye Cox

As a lucky prize winner I am doubly grateful for the delightful Autumn Jubilee posts and projects. The fabric pack I won is a stunner! Thank you for giving so much of your time and sharing your talents. A big thank you to all your super sponsors, too.

  16. Julie

Thank you so much for another exhilarating Autumn Jubilee. It has been so much fun. Without AJ, I wouldn’t have been introduced to all of the sponsors and missed what they have to offer. Having spent the year dieting I was avoiding a lot of recipes, but found this year’s Milk Street a welcome addition. Imagine my surprise finding I was a winner! Especially shocking since I visited everyone but only submitted a few entries. I have enjoyed watching the posts. Everyone’s personality shines through with their unique choices. I look forward to completing my projects, it’s an ongoing adventure.

  17. Thank you so much, Carole. I always look forward to this event. It has been so much fun and I am still enjoying the stitching from it. The sponsors are fabulous and so generous. I thank you all, and the participants as well.

  18. LaLani James

Thank you for Autumn Jubilee! I had my knee replaced Oct 5th so didn’t participate but I loved following along! 😊

  19. Congratulations, Carole, on another wonderful Autumn Jubilee. Many thanks to this year’s sponsors for their generosity. I agree with your 3 choices for scary horror stories but I would put Oculus as #1… with Skeleton Key as #2. I am usually not surprised by movie endings but Skeleton Key was a total shock to me. 🙂 Blessings and thank you for the wonderful projects you so generously shared.

  20. Susan N.

Congratulations to all the winners and thanks to the sponsors who provided the prizes. Thank you, Carole, for another wonderful Autumn Jubilee.

  21. Mary Anne Wilber

Dear Carole, I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed Autumn Jubilee!! You put a lot of work into it! I am still working on all my projects – you must have started last spring!! I just found you this year and I think I subscribed because we also live in NC. We moved here about 3 years ago from IL and just love it! I never did register for any prizes or make any comments – I was just thrilled with the content you provided. Thanks a lot for doing it! I bet you have driven through our town in your little car. We live in Murphy. Do you do anything for Christmas time? I will have to wait and see! Keep up the good work. A Fan in Murphy, Mary Anne Wilber

  25. It has been great fun following along, Carole. You’ve had some terrific projects (along with great photos and wonderful ideas!) Another Jubilee in the bag — and well done!

  26. thank you sponsors! i am more than thrilled with my aurifil thread…it’s my go-to thread anyway and to have a new stash of pretty colors for my projects has ignited my mojo just a bit more…living on a fixed income, thread is a bit of a semi-luxury, so this really helped a lot!

  27. Linda Clark

Thank you for the time you vested in the Autumn Jubilee! I know you have spent many hours lining up sponsors, deciding and making the projects, and checking emails. I appreciate your efforts. I did not get the quilt started but I have the material I need and the pattern stored away in a project box to begin when our Farmers Market is over in December. I have made 2 quilts using the pumpkin pattern and will send you pictures of those in a day or so. I hope you can settle in now, enjoy some pumpkin spice something and enjoy the holidays coming up.

  28. Rita Harley
