Now that the holidays are truly over, I like to create a cleaner space after the clutter of the autumn season followed by Christmas. For me, going to to an all white decor is a rest for the eyes before getting to the rich Valentine reds and Mardi Gras colors of February. The snow over …
Decorating the house for the Christmas season is always fun. Each year I try to use the same things we have had for years in new ways, adding a few new things and donating others. This time, I had a new Wool Applique Christmas Penny Rug from the Christmas in July event, and it was …

But, I have much to finish this month, including a new recipe for Moda Bake Shop, so one tablescape will have to do for …
February usually brings the color red to most minds including mine. Most years I miss Mardi Gras because it comes earlier than I expect. Not this year! Mardi Gras is February 9, 2016 (Feb 28th 2017), and I am ready. I also did some research, and found out that the Mardi Gras season is not …
The fullness of the holidays brings lots of decorations beginning with Autumn pumpkins running through Christmas. Pumpkins and pine cones scattered around, and ceramic turkeys get added to for Thanksgiving, then up goes a tree with red and green everywhere. January brings a desire for cleaner lines and less clutter. For years I have done …
