Memorial Day weekend is here, and Sunday (the greatest day in racing) calls for munchie snacks for all day grazing. Starting with the Formula One race in the morning, followed by the Indy 500, and ending in the evening with the Coca-Cola 600 in Charlotte, it is all day racing! Even though Nascar has become boring, we can have it on while we share a meal with friends, and just check in now and then. Along with some other treats like my Homemade Guacamole with Green Onions, and Perfect Deviled Eggs (the last deviled egg recipe you will ever need!) I like these Ham Roll Ups. I made these for the luncheon too, and I guarantee your guests will eat them up. Easy and quick, my recipe has a lot of flavor and a little bite.
I start with four slices of cooked ham luncheon slices, pat them dry on a paper towel. Put softened cream cheese in a bowl and mash with a fork to soften it further.
Add Ranch dip mix, mayonnaise, and horseradish sauce to the cream cheese. Mix well and divide into four portions.
Top the ham slices with the cream cheese mixture.
Spread evenly across the slices. This makes a nice thick layer. If you want less filling in each one, just use more ham slices and spread thinner. That will make more appetizers too if you need more.
Roll up each one.
Put six toothpicks in each roll.
Cut into bite size pieces between the toothpicks.
Serve and enjoy!
Ham Roll Ups
4 slices cooked ham
8 ounces cream cheese
2 teaspoons Ranch dip dry mix
1 tablespoon mayonnaise
1 tablespoon horseradish sauce
Pat ham dry and lay out slices. Mix cream cheese with mix, mayonnaise and horseradish sauce. Divide between the ham slices, spread evenly to the edges. Roll up, secure with toothpicks, cut into bite size pieces. Yield 24 pieces. Enjoy!
What are your plans for this weekend?

My mom used to make ham roll ups with cream cheese when we were kids and she had a party! I’m going to try your recipe….sounds fantastic!
I was in the mood to invite neighbors over for Memorial Day, but it’s lucky we didn’t speak of it. We’re traveling to a wake, which of course, was not on the calendar last week. We will see people we haven’t seen in a long time, so the visiting will be great.
Good Morning Carole! Your Ham Roll Ups look delicious. These would be a perfect recipe to make for anytime. I will be trying your recipe soon. This weekend Hubby and I will be doing some yard work and Deanna and I will be sewing! I hope that you have a great time with guests and all of your races! Thank you for sharing and have a fantastic creative day!
Always enjoy the ham roll ups…refreshing & yummy.
We are in Branson, MO for the week…enjoying shows, a lunch cruise on the Branson Belle Paddle Wheel, friendships, chatting, eating, celebrating anniversaries…#48 & #50.
I love ham rollups. I will make these soon. My ex father in law used to race in Nascar many years ago. He stopped before I married into the family but he had many many pictures hanging on the walls and I used to like looking at them and sometimes he would come over and point to certain ones and tell me all about when the picture was taken and who was in that race etc. I am sure it drove my mother in law crazy hearing about it all the time. Both my mother and father in laws have passed away now but I have lots of memories of them. In fact the best memorie I have of my mother in law is that she taught me how to can everything under the sun.
I hope you have a great and safe Memorial Weekend. Enjoy your company and the races.
This sounds delicious and so unlike any of the others I’ve had. I’ve pinned and will be making these for sure.
We’re going to a BBQ potluck on the Rogue River where we’ll watch boat races from our friends’ deck. I’m taking a corn confetti salad. Have you made one? It’s simple and delicious, makes a lot. m
What fun! I won’t be doing anything tomorrow, but that might make a nice thing for Monday. Thanks!
That looks delicious.
I had a game day with friends, but the rest of the weekend we’re laying low. Yay!
Looks easy enough that even I could make your Ham Appetiser, Carole. Looks delicious!
