Welcome to From My Carolina Home! I am participating in The Ultimate Blog Party, so this post covers what my blog is all about. I am a quilter, crafter, sewing enthusiast, wool worker, stamper, gardener, hiker, reader, photographer, and I like to cook. I am a longtime foodie, with a kitchen full of gourmet ingredients and interesting gadgets. Upcoming posts planned will cover some of these gadgets along with one on flavored vinegar, more cookbook reviews and food industry book reviews.
Sewing and quilting have been my therapy, a break from the stress and pressure of work. You’ll find several tutorials here, and more in the works. There are sewing projects, wool work projects, scrap projects and more.
I enjoy crafting too, anything you can do with a glue gun I am on board to try. This basket project will be covered in a future post, along with a teacup candle project. There will be a springtime wreath project soon as well.
My husband and I like to hike in this beautiful mountain area where we live. I always have a camera ready. There is so much to see in the graceful branches of a bare tree in winter to the lush green of summer.
We frequently have visitors of the fur and feather variety.
There are usually lots of flowers on my porch and in the garden. I like different containers and varieties of flowers together, and I’ll share those ideas with you.
Reading is an enjoyable way to learn something new or experience a different world. Some of my reviews are on Goodreads. Now you will find my book reviews here. I read a wide variety of things, and will share those with you too.
I have written for other publications and finally decided to write for my own blog this year. I have such a wide variety of interests, and you’ll see them all on my blog. You can choose a category on the right sidebar to see all my posts on that subject, or go to the home link at the top for the latest variety of subjects. Thanks for stopping by!

Hello to you too Tiffany! Welcome!
What a delightful visit for the #UBP14. I love all the gorgeous flowers. My senior mom and I have been enjoying flowers popping up for spring here too and it’s grand! And oh how fun to see all the critters! We enjoy geese and ducks and deer but have never seen a bear and I think I’m quite glad. Have a fun blog party week.
Thanks, Kaye, hope you enjoy looking around.
Hi! Stopping by from the UBP14. Oh the pics of your flowers are gorgeous! It makes me think spring is actually going to come to us (WI). Enjoy this blog party week – nice to meet you!
HI Val, glad you came by, more pictures of flowers will be coming as North Carolina blooms for quite a few weeks in the spring, and some potted plants go all summer. Nice to meet you too!
Delighted to meet you through #UBP14! What a gorgeous part of the world you have! I like your critters better than the ones we have in Phoenix. Scorpions and black widows and rattlesnakes, oh my.

Hi there! I’m stopping by from the Ultimate Blog Party. I love the variety on your blog! Going to check it out even more now.
Here is my blog: http://stephanie-thejourney.blogspot.com/ — It would not allow me to submit my comment the first several times here for some reason and the time it finally took it, I had to sign in with my personal Twitter & my blog wasn’t included. First time that I had a problem leaving a comment, but I was determined. 😉
Thanks Stephanie, I appreciate your determination!
Awesome we are already connected in word press, i added you to bloglovin, seems to be the place i check the most. for up date post. I Actually liked the Article on salt.
