Welcome to the eighth Autumn Jubilee!! Today, we begin with announcement of our fabulous vendor sponsors for all the prizes to be given away this month and a few details you need to know. Are you ready to sew with a new quilt along, cook a new recipe, do some wool applique, make a festive fall wreath, dig in the gardens, set an Autumn table, and more? Every post this month has a giveaway, too!!

This year, we celebrate a Harvest Festival, taken from the spectacular colors and prints from the Benartex fabric line of the same name.

The Autumn Jubilee will have Mason Jars as a Harvest Festival theme throughout the month. I can’t wait to show you all I have been doing with them. So, fair warning, hit the thrift stores and stock up!

For some interesting history, and some help on identifying the age of some jars, see my post on the History of Mason Jars. You might find a valuable one as you are picking up an old glass treasures. I wrote the post during covid lockdown, and it is full of ideas on ways to use these versatile glass gems.

I love this one with the snowflake embossed motif. I have used it for mixes, but I cannot bear to give it away. So, gifts are given in other ones I find at the thrift store. We’ll have some mix recipes during Autumn Jubilee.

We’ll have sewing and crafting projects, and some ideas on using your embroidery machine.

Share with your Pinterest followers by clicking on Autumn Jubilee on Pinterest and adding that pin to one of your boards.

Even if you have reviewed these before, new information on commenting has been added, along with new information on some email addresses triggering a sign-in (my blog does NOT require a sign in) so please take a look again to see how to resolve.  This year, I am dropping the extra entries and will just have comments to enter. All that is needed to enter the drawing of the day is to visit the sponsor, then come back and leave a comment answering the question of the day. That’s it.

Can’t wait to see what you do this year! Last year was the first time I have done wool applique and made a Thanksgiving pillow with your pattern. It was so fun and you gave such good instructions! Thanks so much for all your hard work!

  4. Carol Chappell

Thank you sponsors for offering your wonderful products as prizes. I am looking forward to learning more about them.

  5. I spent a good chunk of yesterday filling mason jars with grape jelly. YUM! It will be fun to have more ideas. I do have to search regularly for pints as that is the size I give away (full of yumminess) most often. Looking forward to the Jubilee fun.

  6. Autumn Jubilee! Two of my favorite words this time of year. Looks like you have a wonderful lineup of generous sponsors I will check out. I’m definitely a jars girl!! Only have to hit the basement storage to find just the right one! I use them a lot these days for pantry storage and freezing, as my canning days are over. I love that they keep out the critters and make me feel organized when I open the pantry! Can’t wait to see the projects.

  7. Rheanna M

It’s my favorite time of year!! I’m so glad you decided to do one more Autumn Jubilee. A big thank you to the sponsors, especially those who I know have supported you for many years like Fat Quarter Shop and C&T publishing. Looking forward to all the projects and I am excited to see what we will be using ball jars for.

  8. Cathie J

I love mason jars. It was the theme I used for my daughter’s bridal shower. The list of sponsors is fantastic. I look forward to following this Autumn Jubilee and participating when I can.

Oh Carole, I’m so excited for Autumn Jubilee! Thank you very much for all the hard work you put in to it. Really looking forward to your canning jar ideas since I have a collection of antique jars. Of course I always look forward to your quilt project! I solved my gmail problem by using a different account and so far so good! I hope I can keep up this year, both of my dogs have developed health conditions. I’ll do my best! I’ve been away too long and I have missed so much!

  12. Joan

Wow! I cannot believe all of the wonderful sponsors and prizes! Really nice of you and them to put together this event. And the ball jars! I love them and have just a few – I will need to look for more. Reading about them reminded me of how difficult they were to find during the Covid shutdown when everyone was turning to canning!

  13. rkjrk5@aol.com

This is always such a fun event.  Your sponsors are all so generous in every field.  I’m looking forward to the wonderful new ideas you will offer us this year.

I always look forward to Autumn Jubilee to see what you’ve come up with. I’ve enjoyed all the projects over the years and have some favorite recipes from AJ, too. I think I fixed my commenting problem by logging into my Gravatar. Seems to be working right now anyway!

  17. AJ

Yeah! The leaves are turning and it’s time for your Autumn Jubilee. I too have been busy filling Mason jars with grape jam.

  18. Kathy Cornell Baumbusch

Really like the “Hello Fall” Downloadable Quilt Pattern from Chelsi Stratton Designs on Fat Quarter Shop. Pumpkins with hearts in each one, so cute!

  19. Julie

Autumn, love love love it & Autumn Jubilee is the cherry on top of my sundae! OMG, is that snowflake Ball jar the most precious jar ever! Such wonderful sponsors, but really, I don’t participate to win anything. I participate because it’s so much fun to have all these interesting projects & recipes to sample. That said, I am a lucky winner from previous Jubilees, so it’s time for somebody else to get their comments in & receive a fabulous treat. Everybody, make sure you dot all your ‘I’s & cross all your ‘T’s and answer the question of the day! Let the games begin.

  20. Sandra

Can’t wait to see what we begin with and I’m going now to read about the history of mason jars as I bet si have a few of the old ones. Thank you, Carole, for doing this all for us! 64. Teri

So excited for your new Autumn Jubilee to begin. I read your newsletter as soon as it arrives in my email. So many clever ideas and projects as well as yummy recipes. Looks like you’ve got a great lineup of sponsors. Thanks for continuing the tradition!

  65. Sue

Hi Carole, Love the “Ball” embroidery! I’ve done my share of canning over the years, but am now downsizing. The old jars are a good value for holiday crafts the younger people like to make. I am looking forward to more of your lovely designs. Last year our leaves froze on the trees in Inland WA state, so very little fall color. This year is much prettier, be well.

  66. Kim Payton Southwell

Due to a family emergency, I’m coming late to the party, but better late than never! Thanks for hosting this fun time again.

Wow sounds like a lot of fun. I love crafting and quilting. This is the first I have heard of the Autumn Jubliee. I hope to have time to read the post everyday. I am just getting back into quilting. It has been a couple of years since I was able to spend time working on my UFOs. I hope to get a couple of them finished by the end of the year. And I will probably start more projects than I finish.
But thats Ok. I have a lot of catching up to do.
