Autumn Jubilee Rules and Notices

Autumn Jubilee is an annual online event on this blog in October.  Rules are simple, and easy.  In past years, there have been many disqualifications for entries not meeting the requirements of the entry.  There are also some restrictions on shipping.  So, here is what you need to know about the event and how to enter the drawings.

Most drawings will be open for five days, and towards the end of the month will be as short as two days.  All drawing entries will end during the month of October 2022, and final drawing will be November 2nd.  I reserve the right to end any drawing early for any reason.

All drawings will be drawn from entries using the Rafflecopter widget to ensure a random winner.  There is no other way to enter, no purchase is necessary. It is not necessary to create an account with Rafflecopter.  No email addresses will be accessed beyond November 2.  Your email will never be sold to other entities. See Rafflecopter’s Privacy Policy.  All winning entries drawn will be checked for compliance with the entry type.  To access each day’s Rafflecopter drawing to enter, click on the icon seen on the left at the bottom of each blog post.  One entry per entry question per person except where noted that multiple entries will be accepted.

Post the button below on your sidebar for extra entries during the first week of Autumn Jubilee!!  Link to this page for now, and to the beginning launch post on October 2, 2022.

Blog Post comments  – Email address verification for comment drawing winners has been a problem in years past when people use an email address to comment, then use Facebook as their login for Rafflecopter.  It is advised not to use FB to login to Rafflecopter, as I will not be able to match up your entry with your comments and your entry will be disqualified.  Your email address on your comment must match your Rafflecopter entry email to be counted.  It is recommended that you comment first before accessing the entry widget. Comments must address the question of the post, which will require a visit to the sponsor. Comments that only say ‘thanks for the drawing’, ‘I like this project/fabric’ or similar will be disqualified.  If you enter with the widget first, be sure you comment before leaving the page.  If I cannot find your comment, that drawing will be disqualified and another chosen.  Twitter logins cannot be used to respond and cannot be used for commenting.  Due to the large number of comments during Autumn Jubilee, I cannot respond personally to your comments.

Be sure to check your browser’s auto-fill!! Many have mistakes in the email addresses and will result in your entry begin disqualified if I cannot reach you. Again, be sure NOT to use facebook or twitter auto-fills on Rafflecopter and something different on the comment.

Those commenting for the first time will have their comments held for moderation. After you have one approval, subsequent comments should post immediately. This is to limit spammers trying to post links or sell things.

ImportantOccasionally, someone will complain that they have to log in to comment, this is NOT the case. The blog does NOT require a login, however, if you are using an email that the Gravatar app recognizes, it will ask you to enter your email password in order to use that email to comment. This is to protect you from unauthorized persons commenting with your account. It is NOT my blog that is requiring this, and I cannot do anything about it. To get around this, open a new tab in your browser and log into your email. Then reload the blog page. This should allow you to comment. If it does not, and you have a WordPress blog, there is a known problem with some of the plugins blocking commenting. You’ll need to change your password, then contact WordPress to identify the plugin on your blog causing the block. Or, use a different email that is not associated with your blog.

The extra things like posting on Instagram, visiting Facebook or a manufacturer’s Instagram page are only to get you extra entries, you do NOT have to do that to be entered. All that is needed is to visit the sponsor, leave a comment on the blog, then click on the rafflecopter icon and say you commented. That’s it. If you want extra entries, there are more things you can do, but only if you wish, it is not a requirement.

Blog Post Entries – Some drawings will have a blog post entry, to enter you need to enter the URL of your blog post up to seven days after the post.  You may use the same blog post URL as an entry on three drawings, up to seven days past your post.

Instagram Entries –  Some drawings, but not all, will have sharing on Instagram as one of the ways to enter.  Share any part of your progress on Instagram using #AutumnJubilee2022.  Entries not using the hashtag and unable to be easily located will be disqualified.  You must use the tag so I can find and verify your entry.  The entry must correspond to the Autumn Jubilee subject.  In other words, if you check this entry for the cooking post, your Instagram post must relate to cooking.  If you check it for a quilt-along post, your Instagram post should show your quilt along progress.  Entries not corresponding to the post subject will be disqualified.

Twitter Entries – Twitter has been deleted from the list of available extra entries.

Facebook Sharing Entries – Sharing on Facebook should be done by using the Share button on my blog page.  Follow From My Carolina Home on Facebook so you can easily share, or just go to that page and share.  I should be able to see your share on Facebook to match up to your entry on Rafflecopter.  There are also prizes for members of our Friends of From My Carolina Home Facebook group, ask to join and please answer the questions for quick approval.  Those not answering the questions (there are only four – agree to the rules and don’t play with elements for mystery quilt alongs) within 2 days will be declined.

Visiting Sponsor Entries – These are easy, just click the link within Rafflecopter and take a quick look around.  There may be a question to answer regarding your visit. No purchase is necessary.

Pinterest Sharing entries – share the current Autumn Jubilee logo present on the Pinterest site in September and the first week of Autumn Jubilee. Find the Pinterest post HERE. Follow From My Carolina Home on Pinterest to see updates and share the logo.

International Entries – Some vendors cannot ship outside of the US, however, international entries will be accepted on all drawings.   If an international entry is drawn on a US only prize, that entry will receive 2 pdf patterns of that person’s choice, and a new winner drawn for the prize.
Will Ship Internationally – Fat Quarter Shop, Backside Fabrics, C&T Publishing, Aurifil.
Can Only Ship in US – Madam Sew, Hobbs Tuscany Batting, Quilter’s Dream, Impression Obsession, One of the Flock, Milk Street, Art Gallery Fabrics, American Patchwork and Quilting (Meredith), and Sulky Threads.

All winners will be notified via email.  If the email is invalid, that entry will be disqualified and another winner chosen.  All winners will be displayed on the Rafflecopter widget when the entry period is over.  Only one prize per person during Autumn Jubilee in any one year.  Winners must claim their prize within 48 hours, or they will be disqualified and another winner chosen.

These rules are subject to revision as necessary without notice.

Some of the links provided for vendors and giveaways will be affiliate links.  Using these links and making a purchase may earn a small commission for covering the costs of my blog, Autumn Jubilee and other events.  The price you pay for the goods is not affected by this, and you can use your existing accounts with the vendors.  For further information on privacy policies, affiliate disclosures, and other legal notices, see my Legal Stuff page.

Above all, have fun!!
