November Leaves Tablescape

The leaves are changing now that November’s cooler temperatures are here, and I am enjoying the wonderful fall colors.  Falling leaves is a nice theme for an every day tablescape for the month, providing an opportunity to use what I have in a new way.

Beginning with the base, I place my Maple Star Table Topper in the center, and surround it with leaf placemats.  The topper pattern is free on Moda Bake Shop, just click on the link, scroll to the bottom and click on “Printer Friendly Version”.  Brown chargers are placed next.

Turning to the centerpiece, I got out my pilgrim figurines.  These belonged to my mother and they are very special to me.  They are tall and heavy, and beautifully detailed.

At a diagonal, I place a garland of fall leaves between the pilgrims.

Nestled into the leaves on one end are a small ceramic turkey from my extensive collection, along with two ceramic pumpkins.

More pumpkins and another turkey are placed on another side.

White stoneware dinner plates are topped with leafy salad plates.

Everyday flatware and individual salt and pepper shakers are added to each place setting.  Matching leaf napkins are held with simple wood rings.

We eat most of our meals at this table, and I like it to have seasonal themes.

You can see another one of my turkey collection on the hall tree behind the table.

This table is near the windows for a nice view too.

Amazingly, the plates pick up the same colors in the table topper.  It was not planned that way.

Carole, you are quite the decorator! Love your Thanksgiving themed table setting – it is just beautiful. And how special that those salad plates picked up the colors in your table runner! What a pleasant surprise!

Just lovely to look at Carole! The figuriines are so wonderful. And good for you for having the courage to put a table topper on a food table. I don’t think I could do it. Would be on pins and needles to see a glass of something that stained topple over. Or gravy drips. Ugh. But yours is beautiful.

  3. Carole! This is just SO beautiful. The colors are rich, vibrant and perfect for enjoying the holiday with your family and friends. Enjoy!! Happy Monday to you! ~smile~ Roseanne

  4. What an inviting tablescape. Thanks for sharing all the steps to put it together. Absolutely gorgeous and so perfect for Fall. And I love the statues that you now have, which were your mothers. Very special.

Hello Carole, Your Fall table setting is lovely! I do like the table topper that you made and used for the center this year! Such an added bonus that the beautiful plates and center piece leaf garland all blend and enhance one another. I always enjoy your table setting posts. They always make me smile and feel right at home through the computer screen. LOL. Plus, what a beautiful view also. Thank you for sharing and have a splendid day!

I used to go nuts with dishes at Thanksgiving and other Fall gatherings. It is so much fun.
I might have Thanksgiving gathering at my place. Not sure.

  7. Carole, your table is perfect for November. I love the leaf patterned plates that mix so beautifully with your table topper. The treasured pilgrims add the finishing touch🍁🍂🍁

  8. I enjoy your tables so much, even though we seldom decorate! I am still adjusting to teaching until 5:30 or 6:00 every night. We are sharing supper duties, but need to find some more options for beef roasts other than roast! We had a steer butchered but lost a freezer, so dumped everything into the big one, so dinner has had to be more of a what’s on top situation this fall. I need to go looking for crock pot ideas!

Another lovely tablescape. You do them so well. The only things on my dining room table are a corn, squash and beans table topper made several years ago for a quilt group challenge and a vase of white chrysanthemums rescued from the garden before the weather and the deer got them.

Another beautiful table. The leafy salad plates and that table runner are so good together and everything else just adds to that.
