First, I want to let my best peeps in on a secret sale. I just put up lots of new fabrics in my Etsy store – link on the right side – all top quality cottons that would sell for $10-11 in the LQS, on sale at my store for $5 / yard in one yard cuts. I am cleaning out stash, all are good quality fabrics with a soft hand, and none have been washed. Thanks for taking a look. I can fit three yards in a priority envelope, and 9 yards in a large box. Shipping will be only what it costs me. The system will figure it, and I will rebate any overage. I now take all credit cards, gift cards, Paypal and money orders. I have the floral jonquil and hyacinth prints you have seen in previous projects, along with a dozen new fabrics just added. Here’s a sample.
I also have several sets of specialty threads including metallics. So, order what you like, put in the comments that you follow my blog and I’ll send you a free gift in addition to your order. Can’t beat that!
On to McTavishing! Linking up again with Amy, I am interested to see how we all are doing. I have been practicing on paper for most of the week. Finally I got ready, loaded up a practice piece muslin with dark blue thread so I could see my mistakes easily. Not too bad for a first effort, I think.
I drew an irregular shape, it seems to be easier to fill an irregular one than a square for me.
Well, except where I missed a spot!
Ah well, more practice!
How are you doing with your McTavishing?
Link up with Amy and lets see some pics!!

a great first practice piece…I have found the more you do the better your stitching becomes…job well done.
Yep, it is why people say practice, practice, practice!!
Pretty good McTavishing for a first attempt! Just keep going!!! 🙂

Yes, you have a great start! I am trying to break a habit and learn how to do more traveling stitching to get where I need to be. I will work on that this week
That’s a great first stitching of McTavishing! Thanks for linking up.
