Autumn Jubilee Starts Today!

Autumn Jubilee is back for the third year with a line up of giveaway prizes that is just fantastic!  This event is growing every year, and just keeps getting better and more exciting.  This year will see the return of some of my favorite vendors and some new additions that you will love!  The prizes will be spread out through the month of October, with most of the drawings open for seven days.  There are a number that are open to international winners as well.  We’ll have a Quilt Along, a Sew Along, a Stitch Along, all with free patterns and posts on gardening, cooking, tablescapes, cardmaking and more!!  There are prizes for every post this month, and each post will give the details about how to enter.  Please join me in thanking all these wonderful sponsors.

Leading off the list of fabulous prizes, our grand prize by premier sponsor Hobbs Batting is not one, not two, but FOUR battings from their Tuscany line to one very lucky winner!! That lucky winner will receive one Tuscany Silk Throw, one Tuscany Wool Throw, one Tuscany Cotton Wool Throw, and one NEW Tuscany SUPREME Cotton Twin size batting.  Yes, all four premier battings to one winner!!  And, they will ship internationally, so everyone can enter!!  Thank you, Hobbs!!  I also want to thank Hobbs again for their outstanding support of our Carolina Hurricane quilts project that began in September, and we will pick up again after Autumn Jubilee.

Returning Premier sponsor Aurifil will once again send a large spool box of their fabulous threads to a lucky winner, international entries welcome!  The collection this year is called Festive, and has the lovely colors of Autumn.

Fat Quarter Shop is upping the ante this year with two gift certificates for $50 each to two lucky winners.  International entries welcome here too!!

Stampin’ Up! is back with a fabulous collection of stamps and papers to create lovely cards for Autumn and Thanksgiving called Country Lane.  I had to order these stamps for myself, and I’ll show you my cards using this set later in the month.  You can find a demonstrator near you with their demonstrator locator on their website.  Stampin’ Up! is giving away the stamp set with the papers too!!

New sponsor Christopher Kimball’s Milk Street will sponsor the cooking post for the Jubilee with a giveaway of their newest cookbook, Tuesday Nights!!  Visit their website for recipes from the show, and lots more.  I am delighted to have them on board, I have been a Christopher Kimball fan for years!  This book publishes on October 16th, but you can pre-order now on Milk Street, or by using my affiliate link with Amazon – Milk Street Tuesday Nights.  The book has over 200 recipes that take one hour or less to make, many around a half hour!   Shipping to US residents only.

Another new sponsor this year, Madam Sew will give away a fantastic 32-piece Ultimate Presser Feet set, with an instructional DVD.  The feet are universal, and with the adapter can fit any machine.  I’ve written a few articles for Madam Sew’s blog, and there are lots of fun projects there.  Madam Sew will ship anywhere in the world!!

Quilter’s Dream will send a Dream Orient Queen Size batting to the drawing winner.  I love this bamboo blend, perfect for wall hangings and lightweight quilts!!

Backside Fabrics will award a $25 Gift Certificate for their gorgeous wide backing fabric, your choice.  I want to again acknowledge and thank Christine at Backside Fabrics for also supporting our Carolina Hurricane quilts project with backing fabric for all five quilts we plan to make.  More on this after Autumn Jubilee.

New Sponsor Costa Farms is going to send a gorgeous Red Aglaonema houseplant to a lucky winner for our gardening post!   The plant has such pretty color leaves,  perfect for Autumn.  Due to legal restrictions, they cannot ship to California, Arizona, Nevada, Hawaii, or locations outside of the United States, but everyone else is eligible.  See their website for an outstanding plant finder with an awesome amount of information on growing all kinds of plants.

Returning sponsor Moda Fabrics has a layer cake and a fun Moda bag for two lucky winners.  Each winner will receive one layer cake, and the bag that says “I Dream of Moda”.  I do, don’t you?  International entries welcome as I am shipping these myself!

Olfa is back with a giveaway of their marvelous Splash cutter with an Endurance Blade.

Inspired LED lighting is back to support Autumn Jubilee, and will send three lucky winners a sewing machine lighting kit with an expansion module for a second machine.

So, let’s start now!  Leave a comment on this post, then click on the button below to enter the first drawing for an Inspired LED Sewing Lighting Kit with Expansion Module!  Due to electrical differences between countries, this drawing is open to US residents only.

Fantastic sponsors for the Autumn Jubilee. Thanks for the opportunity to participate in the giveaway and QAL.

  4. These are some wonderful prizes from great companies! The LED lights look very helpful for these aging eyes. Looking forward to all of the projects, too. Thank you for all your efforts for this event and all you do!

  5. Lesley Gilbert

Wonderful start to the Autumn Jubillee with great donations from all those companies. As far as I know, these lights are not suitable for the UK because of the voltage, which is a pity. So I won’t be clicking the raffle-copter but good luck to whoever wins them 🙂

  6. CAROL S NELMS

WOW, you have been busy. I am in charge of door prizes for guild events, so I know you have put a lot of work into this great month. This is my second year following you. Thanks!

Carole, I am looking forward to Autumn Jubilee even though the weather here in Wisconsin has thus far skipped Fall and is heading right to Winter. Hoping for a turn around that will make Indian summer happen. wonderful list of giveaways!

  13. Lynne Mulder

Yeah for Autumn! The lighting at my machine is great when the sun shines in the mornings. Unfortunately with all the soggy weather we have been having it could really use some improvement!

  14. The lighting at my sewing machine does need something closer in my eye view. I have a floor lamp that I can bend; however, I do need something more like an LED light. Thank you.

  15. nicholsas

Looking forward to all things Autumn, especially the Autumn Jubilee. Thanks to all your sponsors!!!!!

  16. Wow, wow, WOW! What a great lineup of sponsors! Between the Hobb’s batting and the Christopher Kimball’s Milk Street cookbook (I’ve followed Kimball since Cook’s Illustrated was first published in the 90’s) and all the other great prizes, my head is spinning!!! LOL! Thanks so much! 🙂

  18. I have been looking forward to seeing the Autumn Jubliee. I can use additional autumn colors in my home.
The lighting in my sewing room is not good. I keep adding addition lights but since there is no overhead lighting in the room it never seems to be enough.

  19. lv2bquilting2

That’s quite the list of prizes Carole, all of which are definitely coveted by all quilters. I have an overhead fluorescent light and a goose neck LED which give me the light I need for sewing and quilting.

Oh wow – what a terrific group of generous sponsors! I’m almost done with quilted Christmas gifts for this year, so the timing couldn’t be better to make some things for myself.

  33. So excited for the 3rd Autumn Jubilee. I’m recovering from Knee Replacement, so my just be an observer, but can’t wait to see what you have in store for us! My sewing machine sits in front of an East facing window, so I love the morning sun when stitching, but afternoons and evenings I need all the light I can get! You have some marvelous sponsors. Thank you and your sponsors for making Fall Fun!!

    1. Rhonda Pecenka

And the lighting in my sewing room is a little hokey but I manage. As I get older I need more and more light.

I would love to try that bamboo batting and the Backside Fabrics is just what I need. I have enough stash but the right backings are harder to come by. This is a great source!

  43. Michele T

The lighting on my sewing machine is not too great… I was noticing this yesterday when I was quilting on black fabric with black thread… it really stressed my eyes.

  44. Heidi

  75. Oh my goodness, Carole, you and the sponsors have outdone yourself this year! Wow! I always need more light, at the sewing machine, on the couch, in the bathroom….its a never ending problem!! 🙂

  76. I always look forward to and enjoy Autumn Jubilee. The lighting at my sewing machine is OK, but not really bright enough. LED would probably work better.

  78. Carol Kennedy

I just found your blog a few months ago and love it! Looking forward to getting through all the previous posts for inspiration.

My sewing room faces west, so sewing in the morning is a bit difficult. LED lighting would certainly help out with that.
