Giveaway Winner at From My Carolina Home

I have had such a great time reading all your comments this month!  Although there are too many to respond to every one, I want you all to know that they have been so fun, and some very heartwarming, thank you!  That brings me to the winner of the out-of-print Gooseberry Patch gardening book, For Bees and Me.  If you didn’t win, Amazon has some for just a few dollars plus shipping, click on the title link or the picture below to see them and order your copy.

The winner of the book is Jill K, who lives in New Zeeland. She wrote “I am really enjoying your posts. I loved this latest post with all the various animals and bird life wandering freely – I do miss seeing this close up. I live in New Zealand and we are coming into Summer. I have just moved house and I am looking forward to putting my mark on the garden. Spring growth is lush at the moment. Thank you for sharing as it is always a pleasure to see what each issue brings.”  I am thrilled to have another international winner!!

The surprise is I have decided to share my tomato seed bounty with a couple of readers.

Saving Tomato Seeds at From My Carolina Home

For the first winner, I picked a second name from the gardening comments, and the winner is Nancy H.  Nancy said “We moved into our home last fall. I am afraid this last spring and summer I did not get much done in my garden. My husband decided to rip out much of the shrubs that were present. I am hopeful for next spring when I will have retired and has more time to work in the yard.”  I hope you want to grow tomatoes next year.

The second person will be chosen from comments on today’s post.  Both seed winners will get some of my heirloom red tomato seeds along with some Cherokee Purple seeds, and maybe a surprise addition too.  So leave a comment today about the Autumn Jubilee event overall, what you liked best, what you would like to see more of in the future, or anything you want to say.  And again, thank you for reading, and commenting!!

I just need more time to work on these ‘fun’ projects, instead, I am busy fulfilling requests for Quilts of Valor. So both my autumn and patriotic are started, but, alas, not enough blocks yet to finish!

I cannot believe that October is here and almost gone! “Oh, Happy Fall” is about to turn into “Arrgg, it a Cold Winter”!! This is the first Autumn Jubilee (such a happy word) I’ve participated in and it’s been fun! Husband picked the last of our tomatoes yesterday, even the green ones for fried green tomatoes, as we had our first heavy frost last night! Happy impending retirement!!!😃

The Stars on Autumn Lane was terrific. The quilt and the table runner from the scraps are so colorful. Love each weeks adventure. Also, the wool topper. Thanks.

  4. I love the Autumn Jubilee and greatly appreciate all the work you do to make it interesting, and with several options. Awesome! You include several different techniques and skills, short term projects and easy to follow steps. There are wonderful sponsors with great gifts. I quilt, so I love that you have small to large projects. I haven’t been able to stitch this month, but eagerly await the time I will be able to complete the lap quilt.

Congratulations to all the latest winners and thank you, Carole, for this wonderful and fun event again this year!!!

Thank you so much. My husband grew tomatoes this year and they did wonderfully. I hope next years will be just as good. Now I feel like I need to learn how to save seeds.

We now have some land and I would love to have some tomatoes as lovely and big as yours. Heirloom! Gorgeous! Thank you for the wonderful giveaways!

Every year my brother gives me plants grown from heirloom seeds. I would love to give him some of your seeds. As for what you could do to add to Autumn Jubilee–I just can’t think how you could give us any more than you already do! Thank you for your time and effort, I for one really appreciate what you do.
