Valentine Cards

I am in a pink and red mood lately, and the Valentine cards I made this year reflect that.  I have a new package of vellum I have not used before, and I thought I’d give it a try.  I got out pink card stock, red stamp pads, and a page of red suede paper. The heart cut outs have a nice textured finish, but it doesn’t show up well in photographs.

I stamped a pretty rose on the pink paper, and a greeting on the vellum.

Punch two holes at the top, and thread a red ribbon through the holes, tying a bow to hold the layers together.

Recycling elements from other cards gives more interest to flat papers.  I mounted the recycled cut-outs on burgundy card stock.

This one is for my friend who likes to mountain bike in warmer weather.

I like the glittery sparkle on the flowers on this one.

And this one too.

These will get mailed out, and I have a few more to stamp before Valentine’s Day.  Happy Stamping!

  1. Great ideas! I knew I saved those cards for a purpose. I like the ways you combine various elements. As a novice card maker, I am constantly learning. I need “more stamps” with messages now! 🙂 (I have been cutting on my scan n’ cut and making things too, but can’t share until AFTER the holiday!)
