I was just notified that the jury accepted my quilt for the American Quilter’s Society Show in Charlotte, NC. The show is July 30-Aug 2. I am beyond excited!!
Now, understand, I have no illusions. My quilt is quilted with a pantograph, and those don’t win. Custom quilted ones actually win. But, who cares?!! It will hang in a major show and I’ll get to see it!! Plus my badge to get in the show says ‘contestant’, how fun is that!
If you have read my blog, you might remember it. The original post with more pictures is at Summer Bliss in Purple. Here are a few more, just for good measure!!
Thanks to Marti Michell for a great design!!

Congratulations! I am so excited for you. I have only entered a show once, and I was 15. The judges were very nice to all the young quilters.
