Thank you to Diann at Little Penguin Quilts who let me know that I have two typos in the bell block pdf. The center gold sections were incorrect and have been fixed in today’s pdf. Download the corrected version – Bell Block Corrected. I have linked the original post to the corrected pdf as well, so if you haven’t started yet, you’ll get the right one.

Since I have an extra bit of time on a post, here’s an update on the baby wrens. They are growing fast! Just a few days ago, only one was hungry enough to open its beak when it heard the camera noise. There is a fair bit of space in the nest behind it here.

Now the four little baby birds take up the whole bottom of the nest. Adorable little balls of fluff aren’t they? I took this picture yesterday, still trying to figure out how to get enough light to see them and have the camera focus. Using the flash on the camera results in washed out blurred photos, so can’t do that. Here, I am using a flashlight in my left hand and focusing the camera in my right. They are all sound asleep.

Apologies for the typos on the pattern! Thanks again to Diann who let me know so I could get the corrected one to you before it got too far along.
Happy Sewing!!
Now we know who will have the table topper finished first! The baby birds are so sweet. We had a nest under our deck one year and got to peak in through the floor boards. They grow up so fast!
Thanks, Carole! I think my bells will go together perfectly now. I’m looking forward to getting going on the star block, too – hopefully this afternoon. So fun to see those wren babies!
That photo of the baby with it’s mouth wide open is precious! Have a wonderful week.
Love watching Nature’s Nursery! Thank you for the correction. I planned on starting the bells this morning after a bit more clean-up. Looking forward to getting the topper top done before another big project arrives the first of next week.
i made the bells and thought the error was mine…i figured it out and made a runner from the block….
