Before we continue the quilt along with Block B and assembly, there were two mistakes in the original cutting pdf on the post last Sunday. The corrected pdf is now linked. If you downloaded the cutting instructions, be sure your version has REV2 in the title, otherwise download the revised version HERE. Also, there are not very many comments on the previous post with the Quilter’s Dream giveaway, so if you missed that one, go comment. The winner will be drawn tomorrow.

Here is the block we will make today. Note that the quarter/half square triangle units are all identical. Because of this, we cut the triangles first as shown in your cutting instruction.

Stack the green and background triangles with the background on top, the hypotenuse side on the lower left, and the top edge horizontal. Chain sew on the right shorter edge.

Sew the triangle units to the brown larger triangles on the hypotenuse side using the same idea, each one the same.

Place these units around the center square, with all the brown units toward the center, and all the green units on the same edge going around the block. Add the background squares to the corners. Begin the block assembly by sewing the rows.

Press the top and bottom towards the inside, and the center row to the outside. This will allow them to next with the lattice block. Sew in rows. Here’s the pdf for this block – Fall Fortnight Block B.

Arrange the blocks with three rows of lattice blocks on point, with the star blocks between. Add the setting triangles of background fabric.

Sew in rows diagonally.

When attaching the setting triangles, sew with the patchwork on top so the seams lay flat in the direction they were pressed.

The setting triangles are cut just a bit oversize to allow plenty of fabric at the points for seams.

This gives you a generous quarter inch for the border seam preserving the points. I cut these points off straight before continuing with the assembly.

Complete the assembly and add the border.

Quilt using your favorite method. For me, I use a longarm. But you can easily quilt on your domestic machine with this size.

I used a pantograph with pumpkins and leaves.

I did the final binding in the same dark green print as in the lattice block.

And there you are! As a reminder, I am reading all your comments, although due to the volume of them, I cannot respond to every one. Thanks for understanding.

Love this quilt and the colors. Thanks for the pattern.

I love it! That turned out so well. I also love the fall colors you used. The Dainty Daisy fabric would look really nice in it.
That’s coming along beautifully!
Thanks for clear instructions, and correction.
Definitely the Cat-o-lantern!
Will you have a condensed PDF of today’s step?
Oops! Sorry, I forgot to put that in the post. Here is a link to the pdf for Fall Fortnight Block B. The assembly is on the blog and does not have a pdf.
Notions at 30% off – a great time to restocks needles, fusible web, etc.
I’m working on a baby quilt for a little girl and the Dainty Daisy fabric line especially the soft colors would be great in it!
Pretty project, love your quilting too. At FQS I love the Quail Run bundle by Kansas Troubles!
