100 Days 100 Blocks

Look for some fun blocks as I will be part of the Fat Quarter Shop’s promotion with @gnomeangel for #100days100blocks2019 !! The party starts July 1st and you need to register to win prizes. See the Gnome Angel Event Hub page for details.  See the prize list and requirements to enter HERE.  You do have to register before the event begins, do that HERE.  Full disclosure, you do have to buy the pattern book to participate.  The more blocks you make, the more prizes you are entered to win.  The prizes are super!!  You could win $500 AU, and Australian readers could win a retreat at SewCial!  US readers can win FQS gift certificates, and other great prizes, check it out.

You have to be able to post your blocks on Instagram with the appropriate hashtags on specific days for each block.  You can see the post on my Instagram FromMyCarolinaHome.  I’ll be doing a block every other week, and you can see my colors on Instagram starting with the first one on July 1.  I’m doing all Christmas fabrics so I can have a nice runner when I am done.

As an FQS affiliate, I wanted to let you know of their special discount for those participating.  Get 10% off all fat quarter bundles, Marti Michelle templates and rulers with coupon code 100blocks19, offer ends June 30 and cannot be combined with any other discount.  Click on Fat Quarter Shop 100 Days 100 Blocks Challenge.  You can get the pattern book there as well.  I wanted to let you know in plenty of time to get all those ducks in a row if you want to do all 100.

The great thing is these blocks are so easy, you can do a week’s worth in just a morning of sewing, then have them ready for your Instagram posts for the next week.  You can do them all for the biggest prizes, or just some for smaller ones.

Are you going to play along?

Hello Carole, I am sorry to say that there is no way I can take on another project right now. LOL. I have not even made a small dent in my UFO’s and the year is half over. I am working on the Mystery Quilt again today! I decided not to add anymore blocks and am doing a quilt as you go method. Have a great day, Carole!

  2. You betcha, I bought the pattern and have all my pieces cut out for the first 20 or so blocks. My plan is to sew them up as close to on the actual day as possible, but you’re right some days it might be “make 5 now, because the next chance I’ll have to sew is Saturday”…

Every time she’s done it in the past, I’ve thought about it, and even started once, but I guess I really don’t want to do it, so I’m not even considering it this time. =)
