I know, I don’t usually post on Tuesdays, but I wanted to let you know two things. First, that Bernie at Needle and Foot is having a fun giveaway on her blog this week. Remember when I did a blogger bundle for her last August? The Colors of August placemats, plus the Improv Table Topper (made with the leftovers) set won big at the Mountain State Fair! The set took first place in its division plus a Judge’s Choice! The prints and colors remind me of ripening grains and sunflowers in the dog days of summer. Any of the bundles would work nicely with any of my Scrap Dance patterns..
You have a couple of days to vote for your favorite bundle. One lucky person voting will win one of all the bundles from the year! All I would get is the bragging rights, but naturally I want you to vote for me, LOL!! So, hop over and vote at Needle and Foot. Maybe you will be the lucky winner!
Then I thought you’d like to see some pictures of the additional snow we got yesterday. Several inches fell overnight Sunday to Monday, and this was the scene yesterday morning.
It was so quiet, and serene. Very little sound, only the flutter of bird wings as they headed to and from the feeder. In the tree, a cardinal sits on a branch, but with the low light from low clouds and still falling snow, she looked grey.
It was just so beautiful, the glory of our natural world.
Lovely! So I headed down to the studio to have some creative fun.
More on that coming up! Have a wonderful day!
Congratulations on the first place win– The snow is beautiful!
Congratulations on your ribbons! Love the snow! Thanks for sharing the pics.
Congratulations on you wins. Beautiful snow pictures.
Love the photos, animal actions, and all the quilting inspiration! Stay warm-happy holidays to all
Ah, yes, the snowy stillness during this hectic time…and the staying in and heading to the studio for some fun and creativity. What a delightful and spontaneous gift. Love the pix and good luck with the voting!
Congratulations on your ribbons! All that snow is beautiful! Reminds me of here last year! The kids loved being out of school. Today our schools are on a two hour delay due to icy roads and freezing fog!
Congratulations. That’s great.
It looks like a winter wonderland there.
Beautiful photos, I “hear” the serenity! Stay warm and safe and enjoy the crafty time…
sharon in colorado (great snow higher up, but we need it down here on the Denver side)
Gorgeous pictures! I love the way the world looks and sounds with a thick covering of snow.
Oh the snowy pictures are gorgeous Carole! I love the quiet which comes with that sort of snowfall. We haven’t had a good snowfall in years. I would love to enjoy that sort of day. We are in Vermont between Christmas and New Years so maybe then.
Thank you for sharing the Blogger Bundle vote with your readers. Good luck to you!!!
I am sure someone is going to have an awesome Christmas package from Bernie; it’s a very generous giveaway!
Our snow was beautiful, too. Because we had no power and no heat, I was not interested in stepping out to take photos. Power was restored 18 hours later. The inside temperature only went down to 59 degrees. We didn’t even get to the teeth-chattering stage!
Congratulations, Carole!!! The snow is just gorgeous, isn’t it funny we didn’t get any up here! We still have mountains of snow around from the last snowfall though.
Beautiful I would love to have that snow this year.
Hello Carole, Thank you for the link. It was hard to choose with all of those beautiful fabric bundles, but such a fantastic chance to win all of those fabrics. Congrats on your winning awards, you did a marvelous job this year on all of your projects! Like you and so many other readers, it is so beautiful to step out and just look at all the natural beauty! We had very few birds all summer and fall because of the fires/smoke that surrounded our town. But stepping out first thing in the morning and later in the evening, we sit for quite a while and just listen to all of the birds singing and watch them chasing each other and bugs. Thank you for sharing and have a splendid day in your sewing room.
I voted ( wink winK) Thanks for sharing your snow!!!
Congratulations, Carole. It’s a winter wonderland! I imagine your bird feeders are very busy.
Thanks for sharing your beautiful surroundings and especially, the wildlife.
Carole, your snow photos are gorgeous. I did notice Bernie’s giveaway and frankly, it makes me giggle to think of it. Some lucky person will hit the jackpot!! I love your placemats. If only we used them at my house. My family is just too darned messy so we always keep the table covered for homework, snacks, computers and of course…my quilting carry overs.
What an absolutely beautiful place you have. I can imagine that peace, though I don’t get it here with several children who run the street screaming, even in the blizzards. LOL Thank you for sharing that.
I just love the way the snow changes the appearance of your surroundings. So pretty.
Congratulations on your win. Snow always looks beautiful when you don’t have to go outside in it.
Its too late for me to vote as I’m just now reading…but congrats to winning at the fair! 🙂 How exciting!
