Fall Tablescape for Autumn Jubilee

Finally we get to the Autumn Jubilee tablescape, now that we’ve made some of the things we’ll be using. This table is anchored with our Harvest Festival quilt from the quilt along.

The place settings have rust color chargers with white dinner plates topped with my favorite fall salad plates. The set is discontinued from Pier 1, and is called Asheville Leaves. I set my pumpkin bowls to the upper left for salad or soup. Individual salt and pepper shakers are at each place setting.

I pull out my gold tone flatware for fall, the warm gold goes really well with Autumn colors. Gold napkins are held by gold rings with brown beads.

I rarely use these knife rests, but I went a bit more formal with this table.

I did think of putting Mason jars on the table as drink glasses, but decided to use crystal instead so I could have both water and wine glasses.

For the centerpiece, I used a large etched charger to hold two slices of wood for a rustic look.

I gathered some leaves from the yard, and placed them between the wood layers.

The leaves peek out the edges. I placed the gold painted glass Mason Jar with silk flowers in the center, and added three crackle glass votive holders around it.

The silk flowers add more color to the table. It would be lovely to use fresh flowers in the jar, with the netting to hold them in place. Inside the votives are battery operated ‘candles’.

If you wanted to, you could use Mason jars instead. These small ones are decorated with fruit in raised embossing.

Well, OK, I’ll show it to you with Mason jars for drink glasses.

The overall feel is a bit more rustic.

So, that is our table for the season. For Thanksgiving, all I need to do is switch out the leaf plates for the turkey ones, add my pilgrims to the centerpiece, and put my turkey napkin rings on the napkins.

Today’s giveaway is sponsored by me! A mystery box of goodies will be sent to one lucky reader who answers this question – What have you enjoyed most during Autumn Jubilee? It is OK to have more than one answer, LOL!!

  1. I love everything about Autumn Jubilee~the colors, the projects, the photos. And the name! How did you come up with the Name?? It is so classy! I’m still working on my wool work mat and have an idea to use the mason Jars with another accessory I have and will post a picture on FB soon. Thanks so much for this de-LIGHT-ful celebration of all things Autumn.

I’ve enjoyed seeing all of your mason jar ideas because I love using them in my kitchen for flowers and storage. Your quilt design is adorable and I hope to make it soon. Thanks for another wonderful Autumn Jubilee and for having such great, generous sponsors!

Since I just joined this blog at the beginning of the Autumn Jubilee, I’ve been enjoying everything. I saved the patterns for the quilt as I do want to make it ~ after I have all the Christmas gifts made. Not only do I love that quilt, I have so enjoyed seeing your table settings. They’ve brought back happy memories of holidays past when my husband was living. I used to decorate our table, too, and had such fun putting things together. Thank you, Carole, for all you do and share.

  4. I love this table setting. It’s formal but not stuffy, warm but not “cutesy.” It has great charm and anyone would love having a seat here.

Even though you shouldn’t pick me because I already won something I can tell you that what I enjoyed most were posts that showed me things I don’t do or offered new ideas. I love expanding my sense of what it takes to do certain things I don’t tackle — and when they are as clever as what you have shared, all the better!

I enjoyed the quilt most as that’s my favorite thing to do, but the month’s worth of projects adds so much joy to October which tends to get crowded with a lot of Halloween, whereas this puts the focus on the entire Autumn season. It’s fun to have little project fillers between quilting, this year’s jar wraps were delightful.

I am glad that I do not have to pick just one thing !! You make Autumn Jubilee so fun. But I enjoyed the Harvest Festival Quilt a lot. Once I find the right fabrics I am planning on making one . Thanks for everything.

Happy Fall for sure! While your quilt compositions are always inspirational, I enjoy your tablescapes; actually look forward to them. I’ve become a ‘table setter’ making the dining room look seasonal—guests or not. Looking forward to some quick holiday projects !?!?

I’ve enjoyed everything, but my favorites were the recipes, especially the one for Brussel sprouts. I also plan on making the apron and the placemats. I’m new to your blog this year, so thanks for making October fun!

Thank goodness we can choose more than one. All of your posts and projects are wonderful and are well done! My first choice is the turkey placemats since we call our place Gobbler’s Knob. I enjoyed the Mason jar theme especially the ones on the quilted piece. Your cards were great, too.
Congratulations on another wonderful autumn event!

Wow! Choosing is a hard choice. The quilt sampler speaks to my heart and can’t wait to finish mine and get it on the table. The Mason jar projects have sparked ideas to make gift presentations special and personal. This has been a fabulous October. Thank you for sharing all your inspiration and hard work.

Your tablescapes are always so pretty! Love your variety of dishes. I loved sewing the quilt project the most, but also enjoyed working on the wool penny rug. I still need to finish it! Thanks for a fun Autumn Jubilee, Carole!

I always enjoy your quilt projects, and have made several. I didn’t have time this month to make this year’s quilt, but I have the directions to go to after the new year. Thanks. I’ve already been a winner, so no need to put me in this drawing.

  18. Your table looks so pretty. I always enjoy seeing your beautiful dishes. After many, many years of canning, I looked forward to your clever ideas for canning jars. I’m excited about using them for the different events throughout the year.

  19. That question is a tough one as I loved it all. I guess it would be a tossup between the Mason Jar Wraps and the Wool Stitch Along. Most of all I loved that the theme was Mason Jars. Thank you so much for another great Autumn Jubilee!

Your posts bring a personal chattiness to the projects. It’s almost as if we’re together at a retreat instead of just following written patterns. Thank you for sharing your time and talents.

I liked the Mason Jar theme–I have an antique one from the 1800’s! Also enjoyed the quilt and your beautiful Fall Tablescape.

Oh my gosh Carole. I love today’s formal table setting~~I’ve never been fond of drinking from a mason jar. But my overall favorite is your quilt pattern and your choice of binding is perfect.
I’m getting ready to mount my organizing peg board from MadamSew that I used my winning $50 gift certificate on. Thank you for our month of fun.

  25. As always, I have enjoyed everything you have shared with us during October! I haven’t done anything due to having a couple of deadlines to meet but will be doing the Quilt Along and the Placemats, and probably some jar wraps (maybe to have as small Christmas gifts). Thank you to both you for all the work on the projects and finding sponsors, as well as the wonderful sponsors sharing their gifts.

  26. I enjoy all the fall inspiration! So many good things to do for the fall – to make the season even more enjoyable. The quilting posts are my favorite, but I can aspire to the cooking and table settings.

  28. This tablescape is gorgeous!

I have most enjoyed the quilt. I haven’t posted my progress but I’ve made some. I have translated it into AccuQuilt dies so once I get started cutting, it’ll go so fast, especially those flying geese!

I am also loving the Milk Street cookbook I picked up because of your post. We recently made the Chicken Vindaloo. My husband is English and Indian food is his favorite so his thumbs up means a lot!

I have loved seeing all your beautiful creations. This has taken a lot of work to prepare and I so appreciate it…so thank you! My favorites have been the quilt, the apron and the basket liner!

I have enjoyed your posts during the jubilee and always. You write well and have interesting topics. As far as projects, I think the turkey placemats are my favorite. I plan to get them done before thanksgiving this year! I also liked your stamping post. So many of my cards turn out to be rectangles on rectangles. I’m always looking for new ideas and layouts.

My favorite part of this Autumn Jubilee has been the Mason Jars. I have been playing with buttons this week. My Mason Jars bring back a flood of memories growing up in Kentucky, my family, and loving good times. I miss home. Thanks for a good month of memories.

When I opened my box of “Fall Projects/fabric”, I found enough to make mug rugs, table runner, and table toppers. Plus, enough blocks and partially constructed quilt items to put together a quilt right away! Thanks, Carole, I enjoy your projects every fall. Actually, all year round👍.

You’ve inspired me to up my game in decorating my table for autumn! I have just one of those sweet votive jars with the pretty leaves…wish I had more! There are so many colorful leaves outside, so now I need to bring a few in to place on the table too. I have enjoyed your decorating tips with wreaths, mason jars and card-making. There is always something for everyone! Happy Halloween!

I love all if Autumn Jubilee. I wish I had an embroidery machine. It’s the only thing I can’t do and I’m no good at needle work. I do like the felt project but I still need to finish. Thanks again, Carole, for another beautiful Autumn Jubilee!!

It is usually the sewing projects for me but everything you showed us has been so lovely! Thanks for all the Autumn inspiration!
