Stamping is just so much fun, and even better when I have a challenge. Did you know that Impression Obsession has a challenge every month? You can win gift certificates to their store just by showing your cards made with their stamps. This month the challenge is Moody Blues. Not the band, LOL, the color. I always need Thank You cards, so it was easy to get busy. I decided on my Thanks A Bunch! Flower Vase stamp set with pretty flowers and a vase.
I stamped the vase in blue, then the flowers and leaves with red, yellow and green on a blue floral print paper. I framed it in dark blue, and offset it with a medium blue watercolor paper to the left.
I stamped the sentiment on a light blue and framed it in butter yellow. It is on top of a blue ribbon.
It just needed a just bit more, so I added some blue daisy dimensional flowers. This is my entry into the Impression Obsession challenge. Wanna play? Just go to Impression Obsession and click on their blog. The challenge is new every month.
I haven’t had a chance to show these Thank you cards yet, so here is another design. I used a beautiful paper that had a print on one side and a coordinating solid color on the other. That green would have been impossible to match otherwise.
The solid green is mounted on creamy cardstock, with the print on top. I tied some jute around one edge before I glued the print to the card. The little Merci is an old stamp, and I used a punch to make the little sentiment shine.
Find a Merci Beaucoup stamp on IO to create this same look. I used some cream jute on another part of the print that had more red in the cut.
Impression Obsession has some wonderful sentiments that would be perfect for the next Safelight project. Choose cling mounted for use with acrylic blocks for discounted prices from the wood mounts shown first. For example, a stamp that is shown at $7.70, actually sells for $5.40 in cling mount. Pretty reasonable pricing for high quality stamps, and you don’t have to buy a whole set to get some great sentiments!!
Are you having any fun with papercrafts? What are you crafting this week?

Very very pretty Carole!! Hope you are doing well!
You made a beautiful card with the moody blues theme. Are you going to enter the challenge? I just don’t have the time for stamping but that is on my bucketlist.
Those are lovely designs that would be simple to replicate, exactly what I would need!!
Very cute! I just ‘found’ a huge box of stamps and my card stock. I must make some cards soon. Thanks for the inspiration.
