I was so pleased with the repairs done to my quilt! It looks as good as new. Everything was matched so well with the original pattern that even I had a hard time picking out where the repairs have been done. Excellent work!!!
I was really pleased with the way my damaged quilt was repaired. It looks great and the repairs are almost invisible!
Carole restored my grandmother’s quilt beautifully. No one else would touch it, but all it needed was some appliques restitched and a corner reconstructed. You cannot tell where the repairs are!! Very pleased.

Oh my goodness. It’s impossible to tell which are original or replacements and I bought the fabric! You are an artist. I’m going to have a hard time mailing this beauty to Houston tomorrow. Its on my dining room table and I walk in there and marvel at all of the fabric and stitches that went into this quilt.
I understand you are booked for quilts to repair until February 2020. I have a quilt from my late mother-in-law that has 107 damaged patches, and I am willing to wait until you can fix it. I would like to send pictures and discuss it.

I have a velvet and satin quilt top from 1850-1860’s. It has been passed down through the family and I am the current caregiver. I’m not sure what to do with it to keep it safe. Any ideas?
Wow, that sounds wonderful. If you can lay it flat on a guest bed for display out of direct sunlight, that is best for enjoying it. Turn the quilt regularly about once a month to prevent the same areas from hanging over the side of the bed. If you have to store it, wrap it in clean sheets with acid free tissue in the fold areas to prevent creases. Refold it at least 4 times a year to move the fold areas. Don’t wash it unless you have no choice, use my vintage washing instructions if you must do it. Otherwise, a gentle vacuuming through a sheet to remove dust is enough. I do hope you can enjoy the quilt.
I just found your blog and your repairs are awesome. I just pulled out a quilt Mom saved for some reason, I can only assume it may have been made by one of her grandmothers/aunts/great-grandmothers as otherwise I suspect it would have been trashed long ago. Your information will come in handy as i decide how best to deal with it.
A question on the tulle – do you use any special type, or whatever is available at the chain stores, I keep thinking chain store stuff would be scratchy, but maybe I’m thinking of nylon netting?????
