Scrap Dance Twist – Step 4

The votes are in, and the majority want to step up the pace of the mystery quilt along, so we will go to a first and third Friday schedule for the rest of the mystery. If you would rather keep on a once a month schedule, just download the pdf and set it aside until the regular post on the third Friday.  As always, if you need to see all the steps so far, just use the category on the sidebar to pull up only the Twist Mystery posts.  Let’s sew!

Today is pretty simple, we’ll be making four patch units from our two patch units.  Previously, the two piece units were pressed to the dark side, so this will make it easy to nest the seams.

Chain sew for fast assembly.

You can either press the seams to one side, or spin the seams.

Here is a pdf for your sewing room, either to do now or save for later – TwistStep4
If you are finding this post after April 17, please download this pdf of corrections to the crib size for the next four steps – Twist Crib Size Correction. and the full size Twist Full Size Correction Revised

That’s it for this time.  Next step in two weeks!

Thank you, Carole!! Sorry to bug you, but I appear to have missed step 2 and I’m lost. Can you give me a link for step 2, please?

Hello Carole, I have no problem with doing the remainder of the Mystery every two weeks. I sew/quilt every single day because I love to and it is a great tool for my health. After I finish the Star Block backing piecing block I am working on right now. I will stop and sew Step 4 and then go back to this Star Block project. I hope you have a great day!

  3. 🙂 Finally caught up with Step 3 ….this morning, and starting on my 4 patches. I need a break from sewing masks for others and doing some fun sewing for myself. Going Very Scrappy with the 4 patches. 🙂

Love your Comments! I respond via email to every one.
