With fall finally here, I had to get out my autumn inspired stamps from Impression Obsession challenge to participate in their latest challenge, Pumpkin Spice, either pumpkins or the coffee. I knew right away the sentiment I wanted to put inside, this one says it perfectly. I stamped it on cardstock the color of nutmeg, one of the spices I associate with pumpkin goodies and fall.
I picked a lovely cornucopia stamp and placed it in my Stamping Platform. The stamp is quite intricate, and I had a feeling it would take more than one try to get an even outline.
First stamping, needs a bit more ink here and there.
I re-inked the pad and stamped again. Better, the image is darker and more clear.
In case you’d like to make this card, the stamps I used are the words from the set So Very Thankful on the left, and Cornucopia on the right.
When I had a clear image, I colored it with inks and a blender pen. I wish the colors were brighter, but it is OK.
On the nutmeg color paper card, I glued a ribbon of leaves as an anchor.
The cornucopia is mounted on deep burgundy framing and glued on top.
To add a bit more interest and flair, I used a bit of my homemade paper and two leaf stickers as a corner accent. On the bottom right, I glued a little acorn.
