When I saw Impression Obsession’s challenge for the end of June, I knew just what I was going to do. The challenge theme of Sending Sunshine is at the heart of the inspirational cards I want for the Safelight Project 2019. If you don’t know about that, click on Safelight link to see how your sunshine cards can help. Anyway, the theme certainly applies to the stamps I have, so I got out some sunshine yellow papers and began playing with paper.
This paper looked like golden rays in a gentle breeze. I added golden cording to the side, looping it under the yellow paper. The green dot horizontal paper will anchor the main motif.
Nothing sends sunshine like an adorable puppy! This precious stamp is called Darby Love, and is also available from Impression Obsession without the heart, called Darby. Choose the cling mount to save over $3. Isn’t he just too stinkin’ cute?
Inside a sentiment to spread sunshine to a person who needs support.
You know, cardmaking is like eating potato chips, you can’t stop with just one. So, I made a second card with another sunny theme using a sky blue cardstock base, yellow paper that reminded me of the sun, an anchor strip of pretty flowers, and a framed sentiment. The little bee buzzing around is a sticker.
Then, a third design with Darby Love and some sunny yellow flowers.
And one more, using a pre-embossed cardstock, with the Amazing sentiment and a little bee buzzing around the flowers.
Donations are still needed for the Safelight project. We are about 1/4 of the way to the goal, so to make it easier I’ve done a Donate to Safelight Link on Paypal. You can check out as a guest with a credit/debit card or by using your Paypal account. Just fill in the amount you’d like, $5 will fund 1/2 of one bag, $10 will do one bag. Remember, you get an entry in the drawings for every $5 donation, every card sent, and every case sewn. See the post Safelight Project 2019 for details on the bags.
Are you doing any papercrafts?

Those cards are perfect! I tried to use the paypal option and the link didn’t work, so I am sending a check. Do I make it out to you or the Safelight Project?
The link is working for others, it may be that your browser is blocking the new tab. I sent you another link in an email. If you would rather send a check, make it to me, my address is on the Safelight link and on my contact page. Thank you so much for participating!!
Your cards are darling!! Love the doggy. And I’m a yellow girl—lots of gloomy here in NH sometimes and yellow just makes me feel good. Is the rising/sun quote from Impression Obsession as well? Love that one. A pkg is on its way to you—was to arrive yesterday.
Hello Carole, Your cards are amazing and will certainly bring smiles and with those special messages thoughts of courage will emerge! Thank you so much for sharing these special cards that you have created to share with these wonderful courageous women and men beginning a new phase in their lives. You are indeed a very special woman, who cares so much to share and help in every way that you can in your community! Thank you for sharing! Have a fantastic day!
That puppy is just stinkin cute Carole!
What pretty cards! I do like the yellow on yellow, and wouldn’t have guessed that I would. I did look at their site and was greatly tempted by some stamps, but I have not used the ones I have in most of the last year. I have to make some cards before I let myself buy more things. Darby is in the dictionary next to “cute”. =)
I love these cards and I’m imagining how excited our clients here at Safelight will be when they receive them! What lovely encouraging messages of hope and resilience! Thank you, Carole and many thanks to everyone who is a part of this beautiful project.
Wonderful uplifting cards Carole! 👏
Wonderful collection of cards! I hope you received my package of cards. I was able to find some suitable ones in my stash before I went on vacation. Have a great day!
