This month we Promenade!! Just this step to do, and next month will be the final assembly and big reveal. I hope you are having fun!
This month, you’ll be joining your Allemande Left units to your scrappy Come Down the Middle units. Lay your stacks like this so you get them all oriented correctly. The Fabric-A point should be pointing up with the Fabric A on the left. Sew the unit to the scrappy units. It doesn’t matter what value on the right side goes on the edge or in the middle. Just try to get them not to have the same print together.
You’ll notice that the point on the green print is more than 1/4-inch away from the edge. Don’t freak out, this is the way it is supposed to be.
Use all the Allemande Left and Come Down the Middle units you have to make these.
Here is your pdf for this month’s clue – PromenadeMay
If you are just now finding the mystery, or you missed a step, get the January instructions for cutting, February’s Do-Si-Do step, March’s Come Down the Middle step, and April’s Allemande Left step by clicking on those steps and downloading the pdfs on each one.
Just as a reminder, I am still on my short break from blogging, and this will be the only post until May 27th. During this time, I won’t be answering any comments, but rest assured I will read every one when I get back. Please don’t worry, I’m fine and healthy, I just need to be away from the computer for a bit.
Are you Square Dancing with us? How are you coming along?
Welcome to new subscribers to my blog! I’m delighted to have many new readers to quilt along. Just so you will know, my blog has quilting and sewing, free patterns and quilt alongs, tips and tutorials, travel and mountain living, crafting and stamping, cooking and gardening, tablescapes and decorating, reading and more. It is a wide variety, so don’t be surprised to see a new recipe or something other than quilting.
If you are reading my blog for the first time, you can follow by email by using the sidebar sign up, or Bloglovin using the sidebar link. If you are a Facebook user, follow the From My Carolina Home Facebook page. I like interacting with readers too, and you can put your pictures on our Square Dance 2018 Flickr group for the quilt alongs and projects, and on my From My Carolina Home Project Sharing Facebook group too. Just remember to not speculate on the final design in any postings by playing with the elements, it spoils the surprise if you figure it out. These groups are for anything and everything inspired by my posts, sharing of projects and quilt alongs, sew alongs and stitch alongs, your tablescapes and gardens, and any project inspired by my blog.
